What is xyz:SILVER?
xyz:SILVER is a silver perpetual deployed by trade[XYZ] on Hyperliquid through HIP-3. It references XAG/USD, the spot price of one troy ounce of silver, and settles profit and loss in USDC.
Silver tends to move more sharply than gold in both directions, which makes it popular for short-term views and for pairing against gold. With a perp you can take either side without borrowing metal or opening a futures account.

How the price is set
Like gold, silver has liquid spot markets, so the oracle follows live XAG/USD quotes while they are open, from Sunday evening to Friday afternoon New York time.
Outside those hours, including weekends, the market keeps trading 24/7 on an internal price that moves with order flow inside discovery bounds, a cap on how far the price can travel until the external market reopens.
