How do tokenized stocks work?

Tokenized stocks track the economic exposure of a stock or ETF through an issuer and infrastructure that supports creation and redemption, so token supply expands or contracts in line with underlying exposure instead of drifting unpredictably. On Farao, this runs on Ondo’s rails and their creation/redemption facility, which anchors pricing and liquidity to the underlying by enabling arbitrage when the token deviates. In practice, that mechanism typically keeps pricing within ~0.05% of the underlying rather than letting it trade "free-floating."

How do the pre-IPO tokens work?

Pre-IPO tokens give you economic exposure to shares we acquire from institutions in large batches and hold in a dedicated SPV. Each token is 1:1 backed by the SPV’s underlying share holdings, and supply is tied directly to the shares held. In the app, you can see both the current market valuation and the price you’re buying at, so you can tell whether you’re getting the same, better, or worse deal than institutions. Because these markets are illiquid, those data points are updated hourly. When the company goes public, the token transitions into a redemption process: holders redeem their tokens for USDC based on the IPO price, executed by the issuer/administrator under the offering’s terms. The timing and exact redemption mechanics can vary by offering and jurisdiction.

How do funding rates work on perpetuals?

On perpetual markets, longs and shorts periodically exchange a small payment called the funding rate. The rate is set by the gap between the perp’s mark price and the underlying spot price: when perps trade above spot, longs pay shorts; when perps trade below, shorts pay longs. This is what keeps perpetual prices anchored to the underlying market without an expiry date. On Farao, funding accrues on your open position in real time and settles at each funding interval — you can see the current rate before opening a position and on the position card while it’s live.
